Sunset Waters, Macleay Island, MORETON BAY

SPECTACULAR DESIGN:
This holiday home was architecturally designed to capture the magnificent water views across Moreton Bay, to the mainland and hinterland beyond. Fourteen metres of floor-to-ceiling glass, slides open and ensures you enjoy spectacular sunsets from the living and dining rooms.. perhaps while sipping a chilled champagne or enjoying a glass of cold beer. Louvre windows and overhead ceiling fans allow for the cooling island breezes to circulate and flow throughout the open-plan home.

Upstairs, the master suite is an open-plan bedroom and ensuite area, encouraging “time out” for adults. The bed faces the waters of Moreton Bay, so why not laze in bed or read the Sunday papers while soaking up the wonderful view. Once again, floor to ceiling glass opens from the bedroom onto your own private deck – have breakfast or coffee there, while your friends or family use the one downstairs.

RELAX AND UNWIND:
The second bedroom downstairs has a queen size bed and also enjoys the same spectacular view as the living area. Large glass doors slide back and open onto the shaded deck – why not borrow one of our many books, lay back and relax on your deck chair, or even settle for an afternoon snooze.

Preparing lunch or dinner has taken on new meaning….. enjoy the expansive view from the kitchen and utilise the stainless steel appliances. BBQ on the deck, and when the sun sets over the bay, the night lights of Redland Bay sparkle to illuminate the mainland across the water.. quite a spectacular sight.

No loud traffic noises to interrupt your peace and quiet… only kookaburras, rosellas and sea eagles gliding along searching for their evening meal.

FOR ACTIVE PEOPLE:
For those wanting “a little more” activity, Macleay Island has a public golf course, a bowls club and some quiet sandy beaches to explore. For the “fisherman”, throw in a line at a local fishing spot or walk down our timber walkway, to access the waters edge, then throwing in your fishing line without even leaving the property!

Bring your bike from the mainland, and you can ride around the island until you can “peddle-no-more”. Alternatively, use the guests mountain bikes and helmets at Sunset Waters.

Why not “Island Hop” – grab your backpack, water bottle, some lunch and jump onto one of the local ferries to explore Lamb, Russell and Karragarra Islands – ferries leave each of the local jetties, on a very regular basis.
